Drop-In Activities:
A wide variety of youth drop-in activities are currently scheduled throughout the week. Activities include art, discussion groups, poetry readings, movie nights, dances & Drag Shows. Drop-In activities are designed to ensure safety, accessibility and comfort for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning youth and their straight allies. We run Milwaukee's First and Only LGBT Youth Drop-In Center. Project Q's LGBT Youth Drop-In Center operates a coffee bar, youth library, four computer work stations, lounge area with TV, VCR, and cable, and plenty of peer/adult support.

Supportive Programs:
Through collaborative relationships with other youth service providers, including PFLAG, ARCW, BESTD Clinic, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Pathfinders, and the Counseling Center of Milwaukee; Project Q is able to address the support needs of queer youth. Youth receive role modeling, peer support and mentoring likely to help develop stronger self-esteem, motivation, goal setting, and career development skills. Project Q also provides three support groups for LGBTQ youth. They include a Youth of Color Support Group, Youth Ages 18 & Under Support Group, and a Youth Ages 19-24 Support Group.

Public Awareness and Education:
Project Q also promotes a speaker's bureau focused on increasing public awareness and education to gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender issues. Accomplishments include a partnership with the MPS Gay & Lesbian Advisory Committee, presentations at area high schools throughout the Greater Milwaukee Area. The Youth Speaker's Bureau also has provided testimony before the Milwaukee Common Council on the need for the Domestic Partnership Registry.
